Warn Winch - Rebuild

Mudlark:
Has anyone stripped an older warn winch. I want to know how the brake assembly is removed - preferably without smashing it to pieces.


The ones I'm working on are M8000s with the brake assembly at the bottom (gearbox end) of the drum centre.

I have the Warn service manual work sheet pdf for the later models (brake assembly motor end) which is little help
