2inch spring fitted but dont look right
windowlicker:
i bought some +2 spring from foundry 4x4 but after fitting to the truck it looks 1-2 inches higher on the back the spring were different sizes and the receipt says that the smaller ones are for the front and the longer for the back does this sound right or should the longer ones be fitted to the front?
i will try and get some pics if i dont forget to take my camera again
cheers

extreme90:
no
the fronts are usualy around 1/2 inch shorter than the rears
also
for a disco
you have two types of front springs
ones for a disco without a winch
and ones for a winch equipt disco ( basically 90 front springs ;))

Frankie-Boy:
When I fitted my new springs the fronts were made from thicker gauge coils, were yours thicker on the front ones?
bodgeitjo:
hi when i put mine on it was higher at the front with the longer ones on the back ( sounds odd i no) so swapped them around now all fine. so all down to thickness not length.
windowlicker:
cheers for your replies the thickness of the springs were the same to look at however i didnt measure them also they are for standard bumper not winch bumper
the receipt ive got says
445mm high heavy duty spring disco and
394mm high heavy duty spring front rr/
but the rear is nearly two inches higher than the front but a couple of people have suggested that when i put the rear seats back in it will sit normal but im not convinced the seats are heavy enough to make a difference
