suggs:
would be worth considering whiping the gearbox out too and changing the clutch and fork whilst its all striped out, unless you know when it was last changed..

biggerlandy:
put new clucth etc in about a year ago so guess i am putting tbox in soon cheers guys :)

Litch:
Well worth it.

I run this conversion on my otherwise standard 300TDi 90 with R380 & 265/75x16 BFG AT's and it really makes an improvement.
This conversion has been discussed many times on this & other forums but after more than 3-years I still haven't found a situation where I wish I had left it standard. Commuting, towing, M/ways, headwinds, long hills etc, in my opinion it is far better than the standard set-up.

Lumbering Jack:
I've been looking at doing this swap on my 300tdi 130 but was a bit dubious as it's quite heavy and didn't want to gear it up too much.  Sounds like it might be worth a try though

Litch:
A loaded 130 may be too much for a standard TDi to cope with on the higher gearing and you may be playing with the gerabox more than is comfortable.
Like I said, works fine on my 90 and I know several 110 owners also like it but a 130 that may spend a lot of its life loaded up........., I don't know.
