disco t box

hi i know spoke about doing it but has anyone put disco t box in there defender and what do they think :)

not done it but there will be hardly any difference, bar drop the revs a tad in main box, cannot see it is worth the agro though. :-k

Ive done it and it is worth the effort. I am running a 300tdi on an lt77 and with the defender tbox was revving out at around 65ish but with the disco (300) i can happily sit at 75 - 80 and hear the radio. You will have to drill and tap a couple of holes for the handbrake arm but pretty straight forward. I am running 33 inch muds aswell so the fuel economy is better with the disco tbox. If you have larger tyres then you will need to fit a 110 blue type speedo drive to get an accurate ish reading on the speedo. Any probs mate just holler.

Am i right in assuming the t/b will unbolt from the gearbox in situ.

on a disco though you need to remove the pto cover to gain the 5mm clearnece thats needed to get the [!Expletive Deleted!] off  :evil:
