I'd say gas too :D

though I'd also check the earth wire at the other end as these can get corroded and get hot were they enter the machine .

And clean the tip and shroud now and again so the gas cone is in the right place.

Looks good though I'm hoping to do mine on the summer I was going to use clinch threads (threaded barrels that poprivit onto a hole ) so I can lift the floor to work on the A frame and chassy :D

cheers for the welding info i will try the gas next time as im sure there will be a next time how ever i finished the floor yesterday and im fairly pleased with the final result the total cost was £35 which was mainly spray tins and a tube of guttering sealant as it was all i could find that was black.

the only downside was i ended up doing it in one section and using rivits as time was knocking on and i was getting fed up of having my head in the boot :-> i will get some pics up
