(1/3) > >>

johnte:
Anyone here into taxidermy.. I've recently come into possesion of a badger, fox, tawny owl and kestrel, and to be honest they look a bit out of place in my house.
Could  anyone give an idea of their value  :? and where to sell them..

Thank you.

MudRat:
Try Ebay quick search found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TAXIDERMY-STUFFED-HUNTING-SHOOTING-BADGER-HEAD-MASK_W0QQitemZ180217235593QQihZ008QQcategoryZ67212QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

either a stuffed badger or it was running very fast when it hit the wall!

If not Taxidermy can sell very well at auction houses.

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
I'd be careful where and when you sell them as apart from the fox, they are all protected species and will need documents to show they been obtained legally, otherwise you may get a visit from yout local wildlife crime officer. I don't wish to sound nerdy or heavy handed but take the badger for example, it is an offence to possess a badger or part thereof. I've know people to be picked up by the Plod after they have put items up for sale in the paper or on ebay.
From what I recall there is a year which is a cut off point, namely before that year it is classed as an antique.
The best thing to do is to contact your local DEFRA office or Police Wildlife Crime Officer and they should be able to put you in the picture.

Tried eBay, but they pulled them all off including the fox saying they were prohibited items..  [-X
