eugene:
started me disco today left it running went to the shed when returned disco not running turn over funny sound
cambelt gone i think would i be right in thinking as it was only ticking over it may not of
done to much damage im hopinng.i was havin it dune this weekend if only it would
of lasted 1 more day any advice please :(

Bunnie:
Our disco decided to loose it belt @ new year. and i believe the 200 serise have like a fail safe where it tucks all the bits up to try and limit the damage. we ended up replacing all push rods, belt obviously and i think gaskets. but untill you get in there its very hard to know what damage uve done. good luck tho.

Evilgoat:
Not quite.

You've probobly bannanarised a few pustrods. Take the head off and look, for the sake of the cost, do the lot and redo tappet clearances.

Worst part of doing mine was the crank bolt. with the right tool that want a problem either.

eugene:
im hoping its not to bad but will replace all pushrods and belt think brothers got pullys to do it with so il start saterday and see what ive got to do good jod it never went on sunday when we went to donington park

bilge rat:
do as you say before taking the head off , usually o.k apart from the p/rods and sometimes the rocker arms break. valves hit square on to piston so unlikely any damage. taking the damper pulley bolt out , id wip the rocker shaft off , so no further damage can be done then socket big bar wedge it against the floor or chassis rail and flick the starter a few times, usually does the trick, mind it dont fly off and go through the rad though..alan....
