speedo piece removal?

Hi, My speedo isn't working and at the gearbox end i can't get the screws out.
The welded piece which is hoilding the shaft in place is in the was.

I undone the screw as far i could and couldn't get the piece out of the gbox.

I need to replace it as that is warn away but which piece do i have to remove?

The first plate, Second one or the iner piece,

Any help much appreciated
