CALLING ALL NORFOLK LANDYS! AND FURTHER AFIELD!

(1/8) > >>

OVELANDER110:
Ok everyone, i know there are a few of us as i wave a lot when im out and about! Really want to organise a monthly meet where we can all get together socially, chat about all things Landrover see each others trucks, etc etc

I run The Cherry Tree on Dereham Road, Norwich. NR5 8TD

http://www.marstonsinnsandtaverns.co.uk/Home/PlacestoEatandDrink/TwoforOne/CherryTree

Its a sad sad thing but we have been here for almost 5 months now, and apart from a few freelanders and the odd range rover, have never seen the green oval represented in our car park.

No defenders EVER! Sacrilage!  So.....with the intention of restoring the balance and tipping it severely the way of the green oval, i propose a monthly meet!

Second Tuesday of the month starting Tuesday March 11th Could put a buffet on if people want??

We are also doing a charity week from Sunday March 9th to Saturday March 15th in aid of the guys and girls of East Anglia Air Ambulance, so maybe we could do something to tie in with this as a one off?? As we are likely to go offroad in our vehicles and have a greater chance of needing them at some point.

Perhaps a Landrover based charity auction? Open to suggestions?

Anyone interested in a monthly meet and can make Tueday 11th March let me know by emailing me at shancock04@hotmail.com

Thanks a lot!

Steve

Hi Steve

As local area rep for Mud Club, that sounds like a good plan to me!

As you have no doubt noticed, we have been made very welcome at the Skeyton Goat for the last few months. But your pub is much more central. So I, for one, would be happy to use your venue. Makes it even better if it's run by an enthusiast.

We have been seeing about 10 people on average, so not a huge turnout. So, I'd suggest to try without any special effort on the food front to start with and we can see how it goes.

But I think we can make this a date for March. Thanks for the suggestion. We will see if we can clog up your car park for you

Mutz:
Only problem i can see is the fact its Landies only.

Which would count at least half of the regulars to the Goat out, which would then meen 2 or 3 different groups meeting at different places and numbers would be reduced at all of them.

As a Mud Club Meet agree would probably work well there as more central.

Just my 2 Paj and 1 90's worth!!

OVELANDER110:
All mud lovers more than welcome!

at least you wont get stuck in the carpark mutz
