p38 gearbox revs

waveydavey:
P38 kickdown is operated by a switch on the throttle rather than a cable; in fact I think it might even be just the normal throttle position sensor that does it. From there it's all controlled by the gearbox computer.

Now I am in shock - something I knew that RRB didn't! I think I had better go and have a lie down!

ben_haynes:
Just out of interested have you got any messages coming up on the Dash Display?

range17:
No there are no messages on the dash ,will have to check kick down but i fear the worst about a rebuild god knows how much that is .

Ah, but it's a P38.  Park one on my drive and it'll end up covered in little round dents, where I've touched it with a barge pole
