i always found it better to renew all the nuts and bolts in the suspension parts too! not alot more and SO much easier to put back together :D

Range Rover Blues:
Very true, with plenty of copper slip on the shanks of the long bolts.

Disco Matt:
I'd agree with the suggestion of buying new bolts too. If yours was anything like mine underneath they'll be a big help as you no longer need worry about getting the originals off in one piece. I'll admit that I cheated and asked a local garage to do the job at MOT time after seeing the size of the nuts and the amount of crud on them!

Range Rover Blues:
Mine were loose in the axle but rusted inside the bush, so I couldn't even tighten them up to stop them chattering in the bracket,  I spent over 2 hours with a peice of broken hacksaw blade trying to cut through the radius arm/axle bolts :'(

1mm thick angle grinder cutting discs off Evilbay - possibly one of the best investments ever - when I tackled this job....................
