distributor question

Recently my disco had ignition trouble after a new dizzy was fitted,basically the dizzy mounted amplifier packed up after less than 100miles :evil:.Originally(and now)my car was fitted with the remote amplifier near the headlamp but i wanted to refit the new dizzy but wired to the remote amp,so questions

1-can i fit the new dizzy but wire it to the remote amp
2-both the wires coming out of the dizzy body are black,does it matter which way they are wired up?
