Rear hub seal
clouseau:
Found several drops of what I thought was oil on the path outside my house - no worry only a drop. Then today I see a river of oil, look under and realise its not engine oil but axle oil - good old '90'. It seems the o/s/rear hub seal has given up the ghost, pretty annoying as I only change the shoes a month ago at some expense. Any one done a rear hub seal on a Jimny?

Work has begun in earnest - luckily I have a workshop manual on CD - genuine Suzuki item.
Shoes off and what a mess - gonna take a whole can of brake clean to recover the shoes!
Slide hammer and bang - halfshaft out.
#-o I need to press the seal and bearing off - no press to hand and its getting dark.
Leave on axle stand - have a cup of tea and a quick phone call to a local buddy will have it off in a jiffy.
Only problem is I have to order new seal which won't be hear until friday. ](*,)
Oh well.
