Tax doesn't have to be taxing......

Range Rover Blues:
What gets me annoyed is they have several ways of describing something that you or I would consider all the same, take payouts from dividends for example.  On that point, do people who are PAYE have to declare these, NO.

Anyway. I was up till 2.00 am trying to get back online to finish the form, it kept dumping me out or saying PAGE NOT AVAILABLE, you know the one.  I finally got done at lunchtime, just now in fact.  I ended up having to delete the whole form and start from scratch, it's ridiculous.

Now I'm not exactly thick but if I'm struggling with this form then who knows how some folks have got on.

Your a brave man to try to do it online

As a new business when I was in Nottingham, a man from the Tax office came to the house and talked me through the form.

Even he had problems  'translating into English' the form, and he reckoned it was harder to understand since they had simplyfied it

That was 4 years ago IIRC they have changed it since.

TBH I look at the form and go blank. Yes Im severly dyslexic, and logic tells me Im not uninteligent, but the way it's worded and layed out defies all logic to me.

After seeing the Tax man struggle with what bits I needed to fill in etc, at least I know it's not just me - and thank god for the phone help line!

Possibly, but be careful.  If it turns out that you owe them money when they do get around to checking it you *will* be liable for surcharges and interest, backdated, on anything that's owed.
There speaks a voice of experience . . . .  :(

muddyweb:
That's why I have a man that does mine ;-)

Topple:
I have a man that does ... always gets me a big fat rebate cheque into the bargain  :D
