Steering guard

Evening all,

Have bought a steering guard for my landy but having small issues fitting it.

As my land rover is a military jobbie it has different front dumb irons, has anyone any experience of fitting a steering guard to these?

fitted the M&M one the week end mate... hat to open up the galved holes with a file and drill 2 holes in the guard..
