(1/3) > >>

PITBULL:
:evil:this thing is doin my head in now

right i had black smoke coming out of the exhaust and lost abit of power now lots of white smoke and is really slow now am i right in thinking its the turbo or could it be anything else cheaper

PITBULL:
just checked the top intercooler pipe and it full of oil  i take it i shouldnt drive it till i sort it out

Range Rover Blues:
How full?  over a period of time the engine breather does dump loads of mucky oil sludge into the inlet.  If it's got there suddenly or it's runny then you definitely have a problem.

Possible the turbo oil seals (not a good scenario as the engine will run on this oil and run away with you) or very excessive breathing.

White smoke is fuel possibly starvation, the black smoke would be the oil burning in the cylinders.

merrick:
is the smoke white white or a bit bluey and does it smell heavily of fuel

bilge rat:
hate to say this but i thought white smoke was a head gasket failure sign. black  =excess deisel  and  blue= excess oil . ? .alan.....
