CPAP Machine
V8MoneyPit:
It's a device to stop you snoring in your sleep. My father in-law snores for Scotland and has tried a mask type, but he found it claustrophobic [sp?] and can't use it. It seems that they help some people immensely and others just can't get on with them.
pux:
My father use's one as he has a diesease that can cause his throat muscles to close at night and stop him breathing   i belive it forces air about your nasel system, but i do know it sounds like your in a airliner
Dr Evil:
It stands for: Continuous Positive Airway Pressure.
If you watch any programmes about REALLY fat people, they can sometimes be seen wearing a mask over their noses with a rather fetching strap around their foreheads.
It helps me to keep breathing at night, and stops my snoring, which has been measured at...78db.
I'm not really that large, but suffer from sleep apnea.
Dr Evil:
Oh, Pux, I did'nt mean to propose that your Dad was fat.
And yes Tommo I do sound like Darth Vader :D
Silvery Thing:
CPAP.... now I know exactly what you mean
