Whats My 110 Worth??
« on: January 19, 2008, 12:43:49 »
Hi All,
Just got hit by the Tax man and have only one way of paying the bill, sell my landy :'(
So my question is how much do you think its worth?

Its an N reg 300tdi 110 hardtop.
Bodywork is in need of work.
It has Michelin ZXL tires that all 5 have good tread, I think on Wolf Wheels.
It had a refurb Gearbox and Transfer box fitted just before I bought it.
I fitted new brakes just after I got it 6 months ago.
I fitted a new clutch master cylinder two weeks ago.
Will fit new front propshaft UJ's when the rain slows down a bit.
New Glow plugs fitted a month ago.
New headlights fitted two months ago.
MOT and TAX run out next month but depending when I sell it Ill put a years worth on it.
Milage is 152054.
The roof does leak a bit but again will try to sort out before I sell.

I cant think of anything else to say, so over to you, how much do you think.

Many thanks

Steve

I wish I didnt have to but needs must and its the only thing I own thats worth anything.
I thought about selling the dog but I think I might have to pay someone to take him instead!

You're obviously not married then??? Not that my wife would fetch enough to pay a tax bill  8-[

But seriously, take a look at the Autotrader web site. Also the inevitable eBay, but search on completed listings (advance search) to see what they actually went for.

Sorry to hear the weasels are at your door. It is an unfortunate fact of life that we have to pay extortionists, sorry, the government.

Thanks for that,

Didnt realise you could do that on ebay.
Have looked on ebay and autotrader and there going for about £4.5 to £5K, which is where I was hoping for. does that seem right?

I thought I had payed them as did my return using Taxcalc software but they decided to investigate me and found a few errors so have investigated the last 6 years and decided I owe them alot more. shame it wasnt a few months ago as I could of payed them but the dog got sick and Had to have several opps that arnt cheep!

Never mind

I just did the same search! It seems to me, many of the hard tops didn't make reserve. The SW's seem to sell a lot better. I suspect, based on that, your biggest problem is going to be finding a buyer at the right money.

Yep,

I think everybody wants a CSW at the moment, obviously they dont carry lods of rubbish in the back like me.
Price wise I looked at autotrader and a few dealers and found that between £4 and £5k was the sort of area.
Might have a chat with some dealers who advertise for vehicles wanted and see what there price range is.

Thats a good idea,

But the prison sentence is longer then if I just dont pay it.

Put it up for sale in the for sale section for £4500, will see what happens.

Thanks
