I used one on my RRC and it never let me down, they do seem to hold water on the motor caing which is a pain if your doing deep water. the big down side is that you CANNOT use rope on them its wire only due to the brake been in the drum, on lowering yourself the brake heats up and melts the rope :cry:

Take alook on Ebay there are a coulpe of Warn 8274 on there which you may get for good money.

Spence are you doing a Winch bumper for the 8274 now? if so got any pics?

but how often do you lower yourself down a 100 ft ledge ?

25 ft is about the limits for plasma on a drum break, but thats pleant for a play day

yes i do and i havent taken pics , not had the time just getting stuff together and getting it out, that link above for the d44 one is cheap at ther moment anyway.
