In need of some expert guidance

you need to loosen the bleed screw on the fuel distribution pump and crank till fuel spurts out, then keep cranking with all the injector bleeds cracked until fuel squirts from each one, tighten down as the fuel squirts out and if all the timing is okay it will probably fire during this process squirting diesel even further and making you rush to tighten it all back up :)

The lift pump alone will not prime the system, especially if its come to rest on a cam in which case the handle will do naff all anyway.

oh awesome thats fantastic basically i had a play but not to any sucess i gotfuel out of the injector pump from both screws but the top one doesnt come out wigth much pressure ill give it another go friday i think as im away from my car for a few days, how pressureised is the system? i think im gonna have to re secure the spill pipe as thats kinda loose.

If it is below the cam is this why it would feel like air is being pulled through?

thanks for your help so far
