Range Rover Blues:
If you want to keep the comfort of your zuk then think about an old Range Rover.  I've been offered several for about £1000 that were very solid, tidy cars.  Add a little more for a gas conversion and you've a very nice motor.  True, ours isn't running very well at the moment but that, once again, is because of the bodges that have been done previously.
If you're going to give it some abuse then I'm afraid ANY car will need more attention than your average family car.
The depreciation of your Zuk is another good point, do you know what it's worth now? what will it be worth when all the mod.s are done?  You could end up spending a grand to cost you as much again in devaluation.

the lift on the red Zuk is a 3" calmini suspension lifts with 3" body lifts try specialist leisure for the parts. the white one is a bit more of a custom.
