if you been using your grinder on steel ..it will spark when you use it on ali.

trust me i work with steel and ali.

if you are working with ali please make sure you change the disk before working on steel (and the other way around as the disk can explode (no joke).

place a magnet on the door the you know for sure.

it was a brand new flapper wheel (never been used) and we have had a magnet on it :D

THEY SHOULD BE ALLY ON STEEL FRAME, BUT, IVE JUST TODAY LOOKED AT A DOOR CRADDOCKS ARE SELLING AND THAT LOOKS STEEL TO ME, ALTHOUGH IM ONLY LOOKING AT A PHOTO.

Indeed they are....
Steel skin on a pressed (rather than fabricated) steel frame.  Have been like this since about 2004/2005.

The new type bonnet is also steel AFAIK.
