First car
muddymesser:
get a sammy :) i did (sort of)

my issues with the sujuki SJ were this...
1) dangerously slow
2) poor fuel economy for somthing that is slow and wont tow a lot
3) Parts availability seemed a little more limited than with a land rover. with most people i know with SJ's just buying rotton ones for £50 for spares. which is good, but if its your daily driver, sometimes you need to fit new parts fast so it will get you to work the next morning. no good asking round for an alternator when you dont have a second car.

More to the point, a Disco will be far better if you have a long drive at each end of term (a Series or Defender will become very wearing at motorway speeds!)

I second that, they are in Northern Ireland and are really cheap and have excellent customer service, in the event of an accident they sort it within days!!!

easier to modify
