well it was the transfer box that was making all the noise, i teamed up with some guys from the LRO forum that live local to me and offered to help out and they have a workshop.

we striped it all out and also found the main shaft on the gear box was also shot, one of the guys sourced a pair decent recon boxes for £100 so we slapped them in along with a heavy duty clutch and reinforced fork.

it was a mission at times but its all done and the new boxes are superb, pl;us i have a decent handbrake (for now)

I give the handbrake about 30 minutes, stupid things never work!
