He originally told me he would pay via bank transfer so we could sort out payment quickly       and i could dispatch the item straight away..Both never happened  8)  8) Never mind we live and learn

Edey never said anything about group effort. Me thinks his idea was more along the lines of "I'll bring beer, popcorn and a comfy chair, and shall provide moral supportfrom a safe distance" :D

strapping young lad:
i got some advice some time ago about selling/buying on ebay, i think there is a website that tells this too

basically... (selling)
only to uk
recorded delivery (or if courier to state cost prior to sale)
ONLY paypal! (cheques "disappear")
only dispatch upon money cleared

buying
feedback history check
remember the item in question wont be the only one for sale on there and to do some digging, sometimes its better to pay more from someone more reliable (see feedback) than cheaper from, say hong kong

Bulli:
if you want to wind him up send him a picture of his house from google earth ... tends to make a point. Was that the first email you had sent to gee him up? if so he seems to be over-reacting just a lot.

whats his feedback like ? Sad when people let you down and then shout the odds.

last month i won something really cheap on eblag and sent payment, i then got a mutually withdrawn notification from ebay...which i knew nothing about so replied that i hadnt agreed to anything. i then got an abusive email from him saying that he would have to pay fees....as his niece had broken the item. He didnt bother telling me in advance or warning me and then suddenly its my fault?? go figure

strapping young lad:
or if you know where he lives mention a nearby landmark eg

"your just down the road from the post office or opposite the school, i went down there the other day to have a chat but you were out.."

that one usually gives the heeby jeebies

ronttuk:
start a dispute then you can bloke him from bidding on your stuff ever again
