when i first bought mine it had this problem the cure was check the amp per hour rating mine was too low meaning it cranked over to slow put a 85 amp per hour on and its been fine for the last six months  you have diferent rated batts for auto/manual and deisel / fuey exon you might have the wrong rated battery on
