blackbob:
can you just turn up and get onto train or do you need to book

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
It may be possible to just turn up and go. The trains are quite frequent. Best check on their site.

No LPG allowed AFAIK
BUT we always went standby on the ferries as the cars reliability was suspect and always got a spare place

We're planning a trip to France in the Landy next year, what's this about no LPG?  Could make it expensive going in the V8.

Disco Matt:
Eurotunnel won't allow cars with LPG tanks on board (presumably even empty) - it took them ages to accept caravans with gas cylinders. I think you can get LPG in France though - try http://stations.gpl.online.fr/appli/index.php
