Wipac 4x4 spots...a question and a tip
Iain C:
Tip first...I had to take mine apart today as one had stoppped working...and it was FULL of mud from the last playday I did. It now works, but I'm glad it stopped for a bit otherwise it would probably have rusted through in no time. Check yours if they've never been apart!
Question next...what's the best way of stopping the grill coming off? I was amazed to find mine intact in the middle of the road today after I realised it had fallen off. The friction/interference fit is useless...the best I can come up with is some black 4mm bungee...any better ideas?

i had a set of rubber straps that were screwed in to the cover and fitted round the bac of the light and that held it in
bungee will work
Terranosaurus:
Insulation tape around the rim of any spot/fog light can be a good idea, or fill the gap with plastercine

gaffer tape rather than insulation tape as gaffer sticks to everything but insulation tape only sticks to itself well
and plastercine wont hold aftew a few speed bumps or a few minutes on an off road site

Thats why insulation tape, bring it round to itself and it seals but you can get it off without a sticky mess, won't work too well on textured lamps but great on smooth ones like cibies.
Plastercine was good enough for the works Mk1 and Mk2 Escort rally cars in the days of proper safaris etc - enough said.
