Tree Slider, tube thickness

I'm thinking of a long tube with a 45 degree bend at each end and cut flush to blend to the rock sliders that I fitted recently. I'll put 2 sectional pieces support pieces in between to strengthen the ends

would have thought the bigger th better... weight isnt a problem as it is applied low down, which will aid stabity.

i`m planning mine using scaffold tube, good thickness, and readily available
