homestart eh? dya reckon you can ring em up if your doing your cambelt in your driveway, just to get an extra pair of hands and some more tools on the job lol?

crazymac:
We have a platinum account with Lloyds TSB which gives us joint AA cover! Yes we pay a service charge on the account every month, but we don't have to pay for card insurance, AA cover, Yearly holiday insurance etc etc etc so what we pay is a lot less than what we would if we had these individually :D

Any time I've called them they have been very quick and efficient

andycwb:
Got cover from a company called GEM... they call the recovery truck, you pay the driver, and claim it back.  They're pretty quick paying up, and it's about half the price of the "normal" recovery service.

Not an option for everyone, but worth it for me, and have been pretty good when we used them.

Same option as RRB - can't comment on how good they are in practice as I have not had to call on their services ...YET!
