Could be a good idea that Matt, especially as we're now getting into the icey/snowy part of the year. Could be worth typing something up and keeping a ruck of 'em in the glovebox ready, and also add in that any damage to your own vehicle as a result of getting them unstuck is down to them too ;)

Snag is, I know nothing about the legal wording that would be needed (and don't have any tame experts who won't charge me to have a look). I suspect it would need to be a little more than "I, the undersigned, hereby agree not to hold *Insert name here* liable for any damage incurred during recovery of my vehicle"

I suggest that the above wording, or something quite similar, would certainly be enough, especially if it carries the signature of the person you are recovering :)
