I know he's not a name to equal his peers like; Paddy Hopkirk, he was also later the team manager of stars like, Ari Vatanen & Tony Pond.

But surely you have heard of his company, http://www.safetydevices.com/ the roll-cage manufacturers??

Nope.... I am sorry but his company is not known to me either :(

They made some real good roll cages for a while then disappeared I think in financial difficulties but I could be wrong.

Anyones death is a tragic loss and while I didn't know the chap he's clearly offered alot to the 4x4 world as many a LR will still be pootling around with a safety devices roll cage. And as he's been there and done it you can bet a pound to a pinch of wotsit that they will be worth every penny they cost.
