Lower gear ratios..?

:D Hi all, i was wondering if anyone knows of anybody who does gear reduction kits for Classic v8 Rangies. Either diff ratio reduction or Transfer Low Box Reduction. I want to keep my High ratio high but i would like to reduce my Low box gear ratios for better hill decents and accents. Cheers.....   I used to own a Suzuki sj and know you could get these kits, but im not sure if anyone does them for Rangies. :?

You can get them.. not cheap though.

Maxi Drive do a set, and I believe Ashcroft are working on one too.

You can get Ring & Pinion sets for the diffs to drop to something like 4.1:1, but that will affect your high ratio gearing as well.

You can get R&P sets from the likes of Devon 4x4, etc.

:D Thanks Tim, ill keep an eye on what Ashcroft are doing as i would prefer to alter the Transfer Low box ratios and not the R&P as you said this would affect the High ratio as well. :D

Range Rover Blues:
Ashcroft I think do transfer box ratios and Qt services do diff sets, I was looking at their catalogue today (been spending again).

Cheers ill get in touch with Ashcroft and price the kit up..

Im only thinking of doing this because at a later date i would like to fit larger tyres, like upto 35" mud-terains for play sites etc.
Yep more body mods and not to mention props and suspension.
So a gear reduction is definatley on the cards.
