tank guard fitting advice

thanks for the advice guys..... will come in handy when we get to starting. the guard has been in my front room for a couple of weeks now and viks is getting annoyed at stubbing her toe on it  :oops:  :oops:  :oops:

you should move it to the bedroom and she can use it as a mirror in the morning when gettign ready!!!! pmsl

well i want to say thanks to all who replied to this thread........mr ray, you were NOT wrong when you said abit of a wrestle.... :shock:  :shock:


i decided that today must be the day i fitted it...i either got it right or got a heavy tank guard in the head,,,,,,luckily i can say......it was the i got it fitted option  :D  :D

i have been running it around town for the last few days with the orange light on saying ." you got no fuel left mister " ......i was getting a bit twitchy so decided that i might have run it enough......

so with the fuel strikes a possible in the next few days i wanted to get it fitted and fuel up again ready for the weekends play....


all done thank god. the only opps moment was almost dropping the original tank strap and realizing that the anti roll bar was still there and in the way.


i need to fit my dislocation / relocation ( not getting in to that one  :lol:  again)..........cones and i can then drop that roll bar altogether....i will get some pics of the shiny new guard tomorrow  8)
