stalls!!

Hi, I have kind of sorted out the problem, the carb is freezing so all I do now is rev it for a few minutes thats sorted that problem, now for one more the old girl doesn't keep running when shes started the first couple of times and it's also missfireing, I will have to check the spark plugs.  Ben

That one could also be down to not having enough fuel in the float chamber when it first fires.

From cold, manually pump the fuel through and then try starting, if it stays running then it is fuel leaving the float chamber when not running (either leak in carb (not the Welsh sort) or one of the valves in the fuel pump is knackered or getting that way).

If it does cut out then as you say spark plugs points etc.

Try it a couple of times to make sure (yes it is a pain up the bum but is worth checking).
