Range Rover Blues:
Yes

Ford ATF will not have Dextron in it, for some reason they are out of step with everyone else, though Ford auto boxs are some of the best in existance.

Basically you are using ATF as a hydraulic oil, not for it's friction enhancing properties like an auto box does, so if it's red and oily it will do.

I'd recomend a DII or DIII though, but basically if you buy what your gearboc needs then you avoid any embarasing mistakes with that.

Landynuts:
It really needs to be DIII as the knobs that serviced mine last time used DII and it was burned and useless within 8,000 miles!

Disco-Ron:
Is there any remore chance that thats why my pumps/boxes keep leaking...??? i think i use D11...... the last pump has lasted a mere 300 miles and 6 weeks before leaking......

Range Rover Blues:
The hadnbook says DII oil, I'm sure.
