Bob696:
saw you mentioned lee james 4x4 in another thread and didnt want to hijack it.

We (me n the Mrs) are thinking of one of the driver training days there during half term.

Any thoughts on lee james and/or driver training?

Vam:
Go for it.

They're a bunch of really friendly blokes, and as a newbie (I'd had her a week) to landrovers let alone off roading I felt the course was worth it's weight in gold.

I learnt loads, and if nothing else it was a massive confidence boost in driving handling her (My previous car was a Fiat Panda and for once size did make a difference  )

It was also really good fun, the seesaw's brilliant

i went as part of a package from centre parcs which is nearby

this was about 2 weeks after we bought the disco and i hadnt been offroad before

i was taught about climbing hills, driving side slopes, using torque, using ruts to your advantage

all in 2hrs

so i would thoroughly recommend it

the other guests who came werent at all interested in the techie bits and just wanted the car to get filthy!..

i must admit though so did i, but it was june and it was pretty dry

Bob696:
cheers guys ...will give it a go.
