Also another previous bike

Spesh Hardrock Sport, again various upgrades mostly to LX and XT, also some Marzocchi Junior-T's and a Thudbuster for rear-end. Still got the thudbuster and all elastomers.  Doesn't seem any point sticking it on the Stumpy.  Baby-Bell on handlebar is Specialized Computer.

Mrs now has a Raleigh Max-Lite FS-1 from about 2001

Chipshop is a great spot for riding just t'other of Tavistock. run by Woodland Riders club, based at Dartmoor cycles in Tavi. Derek is the owner manager spot on bloke. I call him Uncle wainright, because you can't leave the shop without buying something. :lol:  :lol:

Newnham Park, great place, amazing watching Tomac et. al. riding down pipeline. We (C&D LRC) use Newnham for RTV/CCV and the occaisonal Comp Safaris. Held 2001/2 National there, I was Section 1 Leader on RTV and "Time Lord" for the Comp. as I'd written the timing program 5 years before and we had a group of 6 people in the timing unit. I acted as bouncer on the door and resolved the two issues we had all day. I wouldn't let the Event organisers in the door to mess up the timing. Diana and Steve comentating were amazed when I came in just after the first lap and presented them with lap 1 times only 5 minutes after the lap had finished.

Yep that's where I meant - Chipshop is Tavy Woodlands and was orginally Great Devon Consols which at one point in 1890's had 5 times the arsenic to kill the entire world population!

Derek is a top bloke and I know exactly what you mean about having to buy something everytime you waltz in :)

We drove down very early on Sunday morning, watched the race & drove home, tehn back to work on Monday morning. Mad!!!

Here's my new custom frame, came out of the oven on Saturday night..
Finished in Land Rover colours, a Mountain Bike Single Speed frame...
853 Team tubing, stainless polished drop outs....
Note the 'GREENI' on the top tube..... SWEEEET

Looks rather nice!!!!!!!!

I'm a bit 'off it' at the moment, went out Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

Thursday, I did also but had that feeling of being a 'Tortoise On A Tricycle' :(

It was quite foggy yesterday, so it stayed in the garage.

Got to work early today - 11:00 instead of 14:00 :(, so no ride today. I'm there until 22:00, & back at 05:30 in the morning.

Looks like being out tomorrow afternoon instead :roll:

To my shame I decided it was too cold to go out again this afternoon (big wuss!!!!)

There was ice at work today that was almost 7" thick, as the Estates Department was testing a couple of fire hydrants last night.

So, my usual route will possibly be quite bad too

I have to go out tomorrow!

I had a ride-out today, as SWMBO was on 'school-run' duties on her way home.
It was extremely busy though, I wonder if it was still a bit of a carry-over from the multiple RTC on the M62 this morning, as I'm not sure what time the Police re-opened that section

(we expected a 'MAJAX' being declared due to the number of involved vehicles, but casualty numbers precluded that)

Having not been out since last Wednesday, I felt fine :D

I ought to take the Trek out & do a bit of running with it, & get a bit better at the 'fast remounts' (ie; jumping into the saddle & picking up the pedals)

I can do the 'fast dismounts' without falling flat on my face. That's the one where the right foot is unclipped (from the SPD) & is placed to the ground between a (still clipped) left foot & the crank.
As the right foot touches ground- the left is unclipped & you quite literally 'hit the ground running'
