why all the smoke when deep wading

its just one thing that i notice when watching 4x4 going thr deep water,

it seems it dont matter weather they are pet,or diesel,

so why do they do it :?:  :D

What kinda smoke and where from  8-[   Mine gets a lotta steam from under bonnet  being a  V8,    If its steam from the exhaust? _ maybe the water suddenly cooling the exhaust produces steam inside the pipe ?? Any more "smoke" than that i would be concerned  :lol:

yeah sorry guys should of said,

with diesel its noemally loads of black smoke,

petrol it blue

but dont smoke when on dry land :?

both of ours do neither of those :-k   WE run a TD5 And a V8,   I guess black smoke from a derv could just be right foot to get through the water ??
