treeman:
right then can some1 please explain how to get a stereo into a disco 1 because iv been tryin all day an its still stickin out by about half inch, either the wiring or the plugs or both are stopping it from sittin home, is there a knack to it or do i jus have to get mad an resort to screwing it to the dash ('')  ('')

thermidorthelobster:
There's a knack to it, but I never sussed it!  In the end I just left mine poking out...  Good luck!

lee celtic:
Mines been sitting about an inch out for ages ,I did get it all the way in once :D  but then I had to do the clutch and it hasn't fitted since

I think it's the arial comming straight out of the back that stops it going all the way in so I will be checking the RS book at work to see if they do a 90 degree plug .Failing that I might make a surround about an inch thick and be done with it.

gee the sparky:
they never go fully back, but yesterday on ebay i found a surround for a tenner, bit steep but if you dont want to leave it loose.

search for discovery stereo spacing collar.

Guardian.:
THEY ARE A REAL PIG TO GET BACK IN CORRECTLY, ITS MORE BY FIDDLING AND LUCK, BUT YOU WILL GET IT IN RIGHT EVENTUALY.
