3.5 exhaust noise?
v8rangie:
just got myself a V8 rangie and want it to sound like a V8 should.
are there any cheap options out there to make it sound good?
can't really afford a 500 pound system just yet.
I have heard of taking out the centre box? does this make much difference?
anaxemurderer:
I have just the centre box on mine, the rest was removed with the bobtail. To be honest i would like it to be abit louder. It does sound good though and has made a difference. When it next blows the exhuast or when i feel flush i'll straight pipe it.
Nick
ps search 'yellow bobtail' on youtube and watch 'playing with the toy'. If your speakers are any good you'll be able to hear it.
Bowie:
*DON'T* take the centre box out, it will sound horrid and not give the correct back pressure the engine requires.
If you are to remove anything, take the rear silence off, if needs be replace with a straight through item -this is where most of the silencing it done.
Bowie.
v8rangie:
cheers guys was gonna ask what it would do to the engine pressure.
if I tak the back box off and replace with a pipe what would this do for MOT?
also what is the best pipe to use? is there anything out there already made which would pretty much fit?
Range Rover Blues:
When we got Blue it had a TDi centre box and nowt else.
I got tired of the noise though in the end :(mad):
