Fitting a Rebel snorkel?

Not my page or pictures just a bit of googling to see how others have done it.
I stood and stared at the possible routes to get the rebel snork connected to the airfilter on an 86 Defender 2.5 NAD and was suffering from an outbreak of head scratching.

The pictures I linked to showed a route I didnt think of but it makes sense considering none of the rubber pipe-work would be exposed to branches.
