It was suggested that the best mod for rock sliders for a disco was the remove the exsisting sills and replace them with 100mm x 40mm box section.

Thanks redhand, I'm doing some research at the minute, my plan is to renew the boot floor, sills, inner wings, front floor sections, front bumper, and upgrade where I can with my own home made stuff.
