sensor in head

need to know what the sensor is in the top of the head on a 300tdi it sit on the same side as the manifolds in the top as mine has snaped in half

is it the one with the brown 2 pin clipon plug? if it is,it the temp sensor for the dash temp guage.

theres 2 sensors on a 300tdi

the one on top of the head is for the EGR set up

the one at the front beside the top hose is for the indash temp guage

Ah, thanks I had wondered.  Having done both TDis because of overheating I was wondering myself as the sensor doesn't seem to enjoy it.

yes its the one in the top with 2 wires i was hoping it was something to do with the glow plugs as they dont seem to be coming on
