You contact the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon,they can tell you the date of manufacture in exchange for some money,it'll have to be pre 1972 ish though.

Range Rover Blues:
If your car was registered in Jan 1973 then usually they accepted it, as not many car workers were in over christmas :lol:

Otherwise some sort of proof it was built before the end on December 1972, like a letter from an owner's club they recognise or in the case of a LR product something from Gaydon.

Dont forget vehicles can be manufactured well before they are actually registered, they only get their reg when sold normally

A lot of the vehicles made abroad may have been sitting months or longer before they get sold

When i did some trade plate delivering, Ford dealerships back int he 80s were recieving P100 (cortina pickups) from South Africa, up to 18 months after they were made, they were left coated in preservative and bake in the sun for ages
