Diff Guards
Lugslandrovers:
Bought a set of seconhand QT diff guards for my disco. Think they came of Classic Rangie and told they would fit.
Managed to get the front on after a bit of cutting to get the Bl---dy heavy lead weight on.
Put the rear on and it hit the bolts on the drive shaft coupling.
Looks as if i need to do a lot of cutting down and welding to shorten it at the front.
Any Ideas Please
Guardian.:
not off a rangey then, im sure they are all the same, only different one i thought would be the rear on a 110, being the salisbury type.
not had any but qt as far as i am aware is pretty good stuff, and im more than sure there stuff fits right, definately not needing cutting and grinding
Lugslandrovers:
Thanks
Just checked with the seller (a 4x4 dealer) and says it's definatey off a Rangie.
Maybe had a different rear axle?
It hits the diff coupling drive shaft bolts. It seems the slopped leading edge is about 1" too long and fouls the rear shaft turning.
Guardian.:
not supposed to have a spacer or something is it, to drop the plate away from the prop.
Jake:
When i moved my QT diff guards from my 200 to my 300 i had to buy a spacer and longer bolts from QT.
They wasn't that expensive either
