300Tdi Auto vs manual: really 5mpg difference !!??!!
Guardian.:
my 3.9 does between 11.5 and 12 mpg and doesnt matter if thats milling around or 75mph that i dont really understand but there we go, and petrol havent tried dont see the point, but before conversion and with the 3.5 in i once got 17mpg but could never do it again it sat around 14/15mpg.
so i feel a bit beter now as at least the petrol jobbie is about the same as all the others, but sorry still dont accept tdi doing over30mpg, unless it was towed half way!
Range Rover Blues:
Just filled Julie's up after doing the head et al and it's managed 27mpg.
Tad dissapointed :(
LandRoger:
My old K plate 200tdi with 154,000 on the clock gives 33/35 all day long,
regular oil changes, air filter, fuel filter, 235/85/16 tyres that are kept properly inflated, my 200tdi Defender90 treated to the same deal as the Disco gives 25mpg on a good day,
muddyjames:
I get about 27mpg ish now i have changed the air filter and towing is low 20's high teens in mpg.
in low ratio it then drinks it like it's going out of fashion! Example. yesterday. towed trailers all weekend and all day sundaywas spent in low box reversing down a tow path fetching wood and I put £58 in and did 240miles
