Could be wrong but didn't they strengthen the chassis on some of em or was that just for the wolf?

I think that was just for the wolf.

But also think they might be 24v instead of 12v.

Ok well i have seen one for sale, 95k with a range rover 200tdi?? engine fitted on a c plate. 110 hardtop. Price is £2k. It looks reasonable and rebuilt onto a galvanised chassis, with a new clutch power steering, intercooler and cambelt.

Is this a good deal?

Certainly sounds worth a look......  Be aware though if the interior is standard ex mil it will have 2 bits of vinyl covered foam instead of seats and no sound deadening at all........ :)

Thats what i thought but this shows different..scroll down a touch.

http://www.buysell.co.uk/vehicles-accessories--services/cars--trailers/cars---diesel/range-rover-200-tdi-1321186.html

Who knows perhaps they have made an error in their description?

This has the basic bench seats and no sound proofing....how loud would this be to drive? And could i retro fit sound deadening?

Defen'ers ain't quiet anyway, the Ex Army ones are obtrusively loud with the N/A diesel in, the old 200tdi will make a hell of a row without you spending some money on soundproofing and you definately want shut of the seats!

Thats what i was thinking if this were to happen. Do you think i could get it half decent with approx £300 to spend on doing this?
