OK, why do simple jobs take so long?

My headlight bulb went on my Disco.  Simple job to replace ~ well, it would have been if space wasn't so tight behind the headlight (or do I just have frying pan hands?).

It took nearly an hour of swearing and scrapped knuckles to get the old one out and the new one in  :oops:

Anyone else had to fight with a stupid, simple job?

Um .... either thump the bottom so it pops off the knuckle or unclip the big plastic thing the knuckle is connected to (easy access). Then the lens falls forwards - takes about a minute to change the lamp  :shock:

A couple of hours to do the front ones?

You wait till you have to do one at the back mate,  you might as well just sell it I don't think you'd live long enough of have the vocabulary to swear enough for them :)

honestly, I've never known one in a more awkward position

Ah.

I though maybe the lamp should come out ~ maybe I should have read the workshop manual first.

Come on, there must be someone else who has done a simple job the hard way (or is it just me..........?)
