Shotgun repairs

(1/2) > >>

hairyasswelder:
My dad, fully licensed etc, has a SARASKETTA CAIRO (CAURO?) 500 o/u shotgun that needs repair.
The lower trigger is broke

It was purchased from the gun dealers in Alfreton, (not cheap) and now it has broke it has been stripped to find it has broke before and has been brazed together

No longer under warranty and not wanting to use said dealer, can anyone reccomend where to get repair or parts??

Thanks
Steve

GMK = Gunmark, main Beretta importers, Sarasketa is part of the Beretta group now IIRC, worth a phone call, they may recommend a local smith as well.

J B:
drop it round mine, i'll be happy to try it out on some of the local youffs

I would say that the sale of goods act comes into play here. The shotgun isn't "fit for purpose" and repairs should be at the original dealers expense. Try it, it shouldn't be down to you to pay out for dodgy repair work

In my opinion, the gunsmiths i have had dealings with  are all out for a quick buck,   Even witnessed a gunsmith selling a lefthanded gun to a right handed shooter   , it was the buyers first gun and "liked that one" so until i got him to one side and pointed it out  i think a  sale would have happened, It wsan"t a cheap piece either,

I got my alterations on both ours by a very old retired chap in somerset who kinda works on the princible of , Its ready when im finished, But never really takes too long anyhow, But 1st class work

I would speak ot the seller of the piece first though, apart from that try to source a proper recomended local chap really,

Sorry could not be of any more help
